We have all been involved in the ‘Right Track’ program where we have been looking at the school rules, making rules for our room and getting to know each other. We participated in the iMuseum activity where we brought something special from home to discuss with others. ‘Circle Time’ happened at the start of each day and we shared our thoughts on topics such as ‘What makes a good friend?” - through to ‘What changes you would make if you were the Prime Minister?’ It gave us valuable insight into other peoples’ thinking and feelings. Using several strategies from the ‘Kool Kids positive Parenting’ (KKPP) booklet we discussed feelings over relevant issues and also displayed charts on ‘Good Listening’ ‘Great Speaking’. We measured ourselves with paper strips and made a chart. The pictures below are from this activity. It was a fantastic start to the year.
