Mont De Lancey Education Centre was established in 1996 as the joint project of Wandin Yallock Primary School and the Wandin and District Historical Society. Its main purpose is to familiarize students with various aspects of school and family life pertinent to the era 1870-1910. Schools from all over Victoria are welcome to join in the hands on activities organised at the centre. Parent volunteers and group leaders from Wandin Yallock lead our guests through exciting experiences which include damper cooking, apple peeling, sewing, peg doll craft, pen and ink, role play of school room as well as tours of the Mont De Lancey homestead, chapel and museum.
