PARENT PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS

The Education and Training Reform Act 2006 provides that instruction in the standard curriculum program is delivered free to all students in Victorian Government schools - this is referred to as ‘free instruction.’

Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum and we want to assure you that all Parent Payment contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing financial support of our families ensures that our school can offer the highest quality education and support for our students. We want to thank our school community for their ongoing support, whether that’s through parent payments, fundraising or volunteering your time. This makes a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.

Wandin Yallock Primary School is very proud of the quality programs that we have put in place to cater for the needs and interests of our students. On an annual basis, School Council prepares a budget to provide resources for educational programs, administration, facilities development and maintenance and classroom supplies. The Department of Education has streamlined their Parent Payment policy for 2023 and increased the level of detail required for parent payments.

Wandin Yallock’s School Council has now set the Parent Payment schedule for 2023 as attached with various options for payment (see Payments Page).

For further information on the Department’s Parent Payments Policy please see the one page overview included in the Parent Payment Schedule.
