Physical Education

We believe that our greatest accomplishments come with a healthy and active lifestyle. All classes have P.E. (Physical Education) each week, with our PE specialist, Mrs Alex Green. Our year 3-6 students attend district Athletics day, Cross country day and various other activities organised by the Upper Yarra Primary Schools Sports Association. Our senior students also compete with other schools during Interschool Sports, allowing them to showcase their fantastic teamwork abilities. All students from Foundation to Year 6 are involved in our Annual week-long swimming program.

At Wandin Yallock Primary School we are very lucky to have our very own indoor stadium which has both a full-sized basketball and volleyball court which allows us to run P.E. sessions all year round. Our Fundraising Committee has worked hard to raise money to resurface the stadium's flooring and a new high-impact surface in our school colours was installed at the end of 2018. In 2021 and 2022 our Fundraising Committee and School Council completed our school oval renovation works with a new grass surface, cricket pitch and irrigation system installed.
